Chinese Language Teacher (Mandarin)

Help us introduce Mandarin Chinese at Kulsoom Hassan School. We are looking for a capable, engaging teacher who can build a strong foundation for new learners.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and deliver structured Mandarin lessons covering speaking, listening, reading and writing.
  • Teach Pinyin, pronunciation, tones and practical everyday communication.
  • Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assignments and progress assessments.
  • Adapt lessons to learners’ goals and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Support course planning and maintain attendance and progress records.
  • Coordinate class schedules and communicate professionally with students and the school.

What you’ll bring

  • Strong spoken and written Mandarin, with accurate pronunciation and confident command of Pinyin and tones.
  • A relevant qualification in Chinese, language teaching or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent teaching experience.
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly in English; Urdu communication is an advantage for local learners.
  • Ability to plan beginner-friendly lessons and assess student progress.
  • Reliable communication, punctuality and a professional, respectful teaching approach.
  • Confidence using online teaching tools; a reliable internet connection and suitable teaching setup for online classes.

Also welcome

  • Previous experience teaching Mandarin to non-native speakers.
  • HSK certification or equivalent evidence of proficiency; HSK preparation experience is welcome.
  • A teaching qualification or training in Chinese as a foreign language.

Remuneration
Remuneration will be discussed based on experience, availability and the agreed teaching arrangement.
